The first day of term is always a mix of excitement and nervousness.  There are different feelings depending on age and stage.  Living School has a focus on care.

One of the most important things a parent can do to support us is to have their children ready for school – especially the first day of term.

Please ensure you prepare your child and have the following items organised:

STATIONERY – all children must bring a pencil case with writing equipment (pencils and pens where appropriate), colour pencils, ruler, writing pad, glue stick, scissors, sharpener, eraser).  For students in Years 5-10, students must bring a calculator.
* A full detailed stationery list will be sent out to parents in the second week of 2021.

LUNCH/FOOD – all students will need to bring snacks, packed lunch, drink/s.  We will be arranging for our school canteen – Jabay – to be open more regularly in 2021 with support of parents.  But for the first week, we will be taking children on excursions and adventures.
PLEASE BE AWARE AND SUPPORT OUR POLICY – NO SINGLE USE PLASTIC WHEREVER POSSIBLE!

CLOTHING – there is no uniform at Living School.  The intention is we allow students to express their own individuality – within reason.  However, a simple wisdom to support this policy is to ensure your child does not wear anything that could cause offence.  And consider the clothing choices (ie no slave labour, no synthetics where possible, appropriate dress/footwear for activities).

HATS – we do take children on excursions and expeditions. Please ensure you provide your child with a suitable hat.

WATER BOTTLES – it is wise to provide your child with a NAMED water bottle.

LABELLING OF ALL ITEMS, PLEASE!! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!
