Our QUEST – to boldly go…

This portal is our focus on living learning. The resources are developed, adapted and adopted by our teachers to assist parents/carers to enjoy the wonders of developing young people’s minds.

ACCESS OUR LEARNING AREAS

This portal is brought forward from our infancy to support our community in the Covid-19 pandemic that has led us to self-distance from school.

These are times when our children can feel anxious.  This resource may prove beneficial in such times.

Our teachers are building our new learning platform on a daily basis – adding to these pages to support parents and carers to continue learning at home.  Our focus is one of community care.  We believe staying connected is a key element of positive and productive learning relationships.

  • We are using Google Meet for our virtual connectivity.  You can download this app for free, or you can use it via each of our student’s Google Suite.
  • We are using Google Classroom for our planning of learning. And we are using Google Calendar for scheduling.
  • Our younger students are being provided with a rich folder of work – to use offline away from screens.  These can be collected from the School or we can deliver.
  • We also know our children need help to remain calm at times. Our Mindliness link below takes you to a page full of mind settlers.
  • And we have created whole school challenges – that will bring us all together.  Some would be great for parents to tackle, too!
  • Don’t forget – chores to adore!  This can help you now and into the future!
  • If you need a few time-fillers, we have you covered with brain loaders.

AND… what better time than now to read a good book, listen to a good story, or take on a 100 Day Challenge!

Living School Kindy Schedule

Welcome to Kindy learning. We are focused on learning together – without screens!  But… strange as these times are, we are providing you access with all of our hard-copy learning and we will consider connecting via Google Meet.

Each child has been presented with a folder of activities, based around our theme of Nature.  There are lots of activities but please don’t push your child – let things flow.  There is nothing wrong with play! Learning through play is the best!!

Living School Stage 1 Schedule

Welcome to Stage 1 learning. We are focused on learning together – mostly offline without screens!  But… strange as these times are, we are providing you access with all of our hard-copy learning.

Each child has been presented with a folder of activities, based around our theme of Nature.  A learning matrix will be released each week for students to explore.

Living School Stage 2

Stage 2 learning is based around a matrix of ideas.  The students can access all of the information via our Google Classroom, and we have check-ins using Google Meet.  The learning is broadly framed around the three keys of Living School: Think, Know, Act.

Stage 2 and Stage 3 both share their learning experiences so we get a larger group of creative ideas.

In addition, students and parents/carers can access our Whole School offerings to challenge and extend.

Living School Stage 3 Schedule

Stage 3 learning is based around a matrix of ideas.

Living School Stage 4 Schedule

Living School’s Key Stage 4 uses regular check-ins via Google Meet to keep our older learners focused and collaborating.

There are regular tuition monitoring sessions, where the teacher meets with small groups of students to review their work and assess their understanding.
