Living School Flood Appeal - Help us to rebuild our school to be stronger and more resilient than ever
The Reality
Sadly, the Living School in Lismore was significantly impacted by the recent floods. In fact, the water rose to almost the top of our buildings (pictured). You can only imagine the destruction and heartache this has caused to so many. Whilst it has hit us all hard, we are a strong community, and we will get through this. We raise our kids to adapt – and now is the time for us adults to lead by example.
Our first priority is the wellbeing of our kids, their families, and our teachers, and of course, the on-going education of each and every child.
Many of our Living School kids, families, and teachers have lost their homes. The trauma this has caused is unimaginable. Many were rescued, and a huge clean up operation has now begun.
Our philosophy has always been focused on a school engaging with the community. Now, more than ever, the Living School’s re-birth, and your support, can empower and give hope to an entire city.
We need your help
Our priority is to create temporary learning spaces that will allow our kids to thrive, and to protect and nurture their wellbeing along the way.
Along with this, we need to develop a sustainable and long term buildings and facilities plan for our school.
