Living School, founded in 2020, is a progressive educational initiative grounded in a transformative vision of schooling.

The name ‘Living School’ was created by Sophie Stewart and defines our purpose – it is all about living well.

There are other living schools around the world (Paris, USA) – but this was not known when we settled on the name for our school.  An electronic book on living schools was published with a chapter written by John Stewart (founder and Conductor).

Strategically, Living School’s ecosystem is complex and creative.  It requires a sustained love of learning – and high expectations/engagement – by all of our community.
