Work Health and Safety (WHS)

Under Work Health and Safety legislation employees have specific responsibilities for their own safety and that of the people with whom they work.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Comply with legislative and school safety requirements
  • Work with due care for your own health and safety and that of others
  • Report workplace hazards, potential hazards, incidents and injuries
  • Control the risks from hazards as far as possible
  • Observe all instructions for their health and safety and that of others

 

Work Health and Safety Committee

Living School’s Work Health and Safety Committee meets once a term (6 times a year) to address issues and improve procedures. If you have a minor concern such as a maintenance issue please lodge a ticket via classter. If you have  a larger concern please raise this with a member of the committee so it can be accordingly dealt with.
