Arrival and Dismissal

The school grounds are open to students from 8:30am and remain open until 3:30 pm each day, Monday to Friday (Conway Street is closed on Fridays due to OnLand). At all times outside the period from 8:30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, NO supervision will be provided. Parents are asked to assist the school in the interests of student safety by ensuring that their child does not attend or remain in the precincts of the school grounds outside these hours. Any student that arrives prior to the supervision time is required to sit in the office until morning duty begins. If it is occurring regularly it may be raised with a Learning Neighbour Director and a meeting may be required.

Late Arrivals

Children should be punctual each day and be ready for learning at 9:10 am for our Conway Campus and 9:00am for our Southern Cross University (SCU) Campus. It is very disruptive to class routines having children coming late to class and it is marked as a partial absence on the child’s school report. A lot can happen in the first 10mins of the school day and it sets students up for the remainder of the day. If you have a student arriving late on a regular basis, please raise it with the family first and failing any improvement bring it to the attention of the leadership team.

An adult must accompany children arriving late to the School Office where a late note will be issued. This should then be handed to the class teacher.

Early Leavers

Students, who inevitably need to leave school early for medical appointments, are to be signed out at the School Office.

Afternoon Dismissal

At dismissal time each day (3.00 pm – Conway, 3:10pm SCU), students go to an allocated area to be supervised by a teacher on bus lines. Please notify the School Office of any changes to travel arrangements by 2:00 pm, either via email or phone call. The office staff will ensure the updated travel details are communicated to the student.
