All employees are subject to Child Protection legislation and checks. 

All staff have a valid WWCC that has been verified by Human Resources.  

Parent Volunteers: under the legislation parents and close relatives are exempt from having a Working With Children Check (WWCC) for normal school activities unless the work is part of a formal program of mentoring or involves intimate personal care of children with a disability. All parent volunteers on excursions are required to obtain a Volunteer Working with Children Check from Service NSW.

Mandatory Reporting 

Mandatory reporting is a legal requirement for specific professionals in NSW to report suspected child abuse or neglect to the relevant authorities. Under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998, certain workers, including teachers, healthcare professionals, and social workers, must report when they have reasonable grounds to suspect a child is at risk of harm. This ensures the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and facilitates timely intervention by appropriate services.
