Minor injuries are treated by teachers or office staff who hold a first aid certificate.

In the event of a student being ill or requiring an ice pack or band aid please send the child to sick bay. The student will be assessed and their parents are contacted and asked to collect their child by the office staff if necessary or they will return to class once they feel they are well enough.

Children must be ill or injured to go home.

Any student who sustains a head knock, is to be monitored in sick bay for a period of at least 10 minutes and a concussion test carried out.  In all cases of a head injury, the parent needs to be informed.

All head injuries, serious injuries and administering of medication are recorded on Classter at the time of the injury/dispensing of medication.
