If it is absolutely necessary for students to keep medical or dental appointments during school hours, they are permitted to do so provided they present a note from the parent stating date, time of appointment, and who will pick up the student from school.

• No student will be allowed to leave school early unaccompanied; Academy students may leave unattended with the permission of a caregiver, but they must sign out and back in as a matter of WHS safety.
• Permission of the teacher must be gained before students are allowed to leave early;
• Early departure requires the student to be signed out from the School Office.

Staff who cannot avoid medical appointments during school hours are required to follow the leave procedure.
